WOW! The Vipers Baseball Club 11u team had an urgent need: to mobilize quickly and compete OFF the field. They wanted to win a just announced social media contest sponsored by Youth Baseball Talk and the Cal Ripken Experience. The winner of this month long contest would get FREE entry into a Summer tournament at the BRAND new Cal Ripken Experience facility in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. They had 2 weeks to mobilize before the contest started.
They called WebTopLine. Together, we were able to deliver a mobile and social media presence in time for the "first pitch":
- A "just what the doctor ordered" mobile friendly Drupal 8 website;
- A social media presence on Twitter and Facebook that has continued to grow and evolve;
- A communication plan within the organization to encourage participation by ALL;
- The team was so active right away, they managed to score an interview with the Vipers founder on Youth Baseball Talk podcast. Great publicity for the entire Club!
At the end of the contest, they were victorious. The presence on social media to help promote the contest, Youth Baseball Talk and the Cal Ripken Experience led to victory and free entry into one of the premier youth baseball tournaments in the United States.
Awesome job VIPERS!
